A 100-Year Tradition of Reliability
More than 100 years ago, Edwin Ruud, a Norwegian mechanical engineer, came to America and developed the first successful automatic water heater. That early success marked the beginning of a tradition of innovation and value that led to the introduction of RUUD heating and air conditioning equipment in the 1950s.
Since then, the RUUD Air Conditioning Division has grown into one of North America’s largest manufacturers of quality cooling and heating products for residential and light commercial use.
Today, RUUD operates two manufacturing facilities in Arkansas and Georgia - both employing highly trained workers and state-of-the-art equipment. Over the years, the product lines have expanded, changed, and improved significantly as new design techniques and better manfacturing technologies have become available.
What remains unchanged throughout our history, however, is our commitment to producing the most reliable, long-lasting, efficient equipment you can buy.

A Stockholders perspective
What is the true definition of a “Stockholder”? In the dictionary stockholder is defined as the “owner of shares in a company or corporation”, but to me it holds a meaning much more than that. All of us here at McCall’s are owners. We own the pride and the dedication that we hold in our hearts for the company that we work for and are a part of. A single stockholder in a company such as McCall’s could not have made that company the true success story we are today. It takes each and every one of us to make this company what it is. I feel that we all have a sense of ownership in this business, and that is truly what we reflect to our customers and others in the HVAC industry today. That is something that we ALL can be proud of, and I can genuinely say that I am so proud to be part of who we have been in the past, who we are today, and who we will be in the years to come.
