Killman Heating & Air Grand Opening
Killman Heating & Air was established in 1999. Killman Heating & Air is a family owned and operated company committed to providing timely, dependable service at a competitive price. "We are dedicated to providing the residence of Lexington and the Greater Columbia area with the finest heating and air conditioning service while displaying professional courtesy and outstanding customer service" states owner, Andy Killman.
The Grand opening was attended by local dignitaries, friends, family, and suppliers. Representing McCall's Supply, Inc. were David Blackwell-Manager, James Hill- Sales Rep., Rick Sanders-Corporate Sales Manager, and Roger Spires-Brand Manager.
2010 SPRING RHEEM/RUUD DISTRIBUTOR ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING (DAC)
The Spring meeting for the DAC was held in the prestigious Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans, La. The DAC gathered in "Nawlins" to discuss new product ideas, PROSTOCK program updates and key goals and initiatives for 2010.
Hugh McCall - Director of Purchasing and Rick Sanders - Corporate Sales Manager attended the meeting. Hugh sits on the DAC representing McCall's Supply, Inc. "The meeting, like it's location, was special and unique in that it allowed participants to discuss issues and ideas in a format that was inviting and informal" states Hugh. As a guest, I was able to contribute to and participate in the discussions - said Rick. This meeting enable me to gain valuable information as well as it gave me an opportunity to "network" with other distributors - Rick continues.
The Fall Meeting will be held in San Antonio, Texas.

The Sales Team gathered in Columbia for a day long Features and Benefits (FAB). The session included professional & detailed presentations from Butch Aikens - RUUD Tankless Water Heaters, Mike Himmell - RUUD Whole House Generators, Gary Kuper - Samsung Mini-Split Heat Pump.

For the first time McCall's was able to offer in depth training tailored to our customers needs. The training offered speedy accurate trouble shooting in the areas of Residential Heat Pump Systems, Thermostatic Expansion Valves – Why and How, Variable Speed Motors- Operation, Setup and Diagnostics and Split System Electrical A/C Characteristics.

Welcome our Newest Team Members...
Jason Allen is the new Assistant Manager at the Rock Hill, SC branch. Jason is originally from Charlotte, NC where he attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2004. Jason has been in the HVAC industry for 14 years. Before and during college he was with Bruce Air Filter Company, where he started off working in the warehouse and moved into a lead service technician role. For the past 4 years he has been with Gemaire Distributors as a counter salesman selling Rheem products. He is excited about his new role as Assistant Manager with McCalls, in Rock Hill. Jason enjoys fishing, playing golf and spending time with his wife, Tricia and dog, Abby.
Tim Byrd is our new Commerical Product Manager. Before attending Wingate College in Wingate, N.C. and Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., Tim grew up in Ronda, N.C. He has a son and daughter and 5 grandchildren. Before joining the McCall’s T.E.A.M., Tim had worked with 3 Suppliers. His career stated in July 1975 with Service Supply in North Wilkesboro, N.C. In November 1982, he joined The Noland Company in Winston-Salem, N.C. During his time with Noland he held several positions including, but not limited to, Outside Sales, Inside Sales, and Branch Manager. From March 1987- February 1998, Tim worked as Branch Manager for Village Supply also in Winston-Salem. In February 1998, Tim decided to return to The Noland Company where he held positions such as; Inventory Management, Customer Service, Service Technician, Outside Sales, and Commercial Product Manager. In 2008 he decided to try the contractor side of the business. He worked with Tri-County Mechanical, a dealer with our Little River Branch.
Mike Brown is our new manager in the Savannah, GA store. Born Raised in Savannah, he was last employeed at HD Supply as inside sales for Rheem & Weather King Equipment. Before that he was with RE Michel Co as Branch Manager then Moving to Outside Sales. He has been involved in the Hvac Industry since High School working in the field for 10 years before moving to the Wholesale side.
Randy Anderson will be working closely with Rick Sanders, Corporate Sales Manager, to increase our presence & sales opportunities in the Hotel/Motel Industry. Randy will be concentrating on the coastal markets by focusing on building relationships with Industry Leaders, Maintenance Supervisors, & Purchasing Directors. He will be spear heading an effort to determine what products & services are needed to be successful in this endeavor.
April Blackmon is the new sales representative for the Beaufort, SC area.She was born and raised in Bluffton, SC. She graduated from College of Charleston in 2001, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She began in the industry in 2004 in operations. She has been happily married for six years and has two year old twin boys. She is very excited about becoming part of the McCall's Inc. family.
Kevin Gartman is the new branch manager for McCall’s - Rock Hill, SC. Kevin has been with McCall's Supply going on five years. He is origianally from the Orangeburg branch then transfered to Rock Hill about a year ago. Kevin loves working for McCall's and is very appreciative of every oppurtunity given to him. He is a die hard gamecock fan that enjoys the outdoors,MMA(Mixed Martial Arts),and spending time with family and friends.
Mac Ferguson is the new branch manager for McCall’s - Beaufort, SC. He was born Febuary 7, 1975 in Charleston and have lived in the lowcountry his entire life. He ismarried to Christy and they have 3 young children, Mackenzie-7, Grayson-5 and Madi-1. They are all very active in church where he is an active deacon and heads the R.A. youth group. He is also very involved in the local rec and church league softball and soccer and coach several teams. He has been in the HVAC industry for about 7 years mostly on the retail sales side and is excited about the opportunity to manage the Beaufort McCalls branch.
Tim McKinney is the new branch manager for McCall’s - Greenwood. He comes to Greenwood by way of the Greenville branch. A graduate of Greenville Tech, he holds an associates degree in Occupational Technology. He has been married to his lovely wife, Julie for 2 years. He enjoys football, hunting and fishing. He has been employed with McCall's since 2009.
Roger Spires served as Senior Executive Vice President for State Wholesale Heating Supplies in Columbia, SC for over 20 years. He began his career in 1968 in the warehouse at State Wholesale Heating and worked his way to warehouse manager, sales counter manager, and then into the office of Vice President. Roger has worked with many of the major suppliers in the HVAC industry building personal and professional relationships.
Roger has over 10 years in managing commercial real estate in the Columbia area. In 2005, he formed 21st Century Coaching as a Certified Life Empowerment and Corporate Coach. He continues as a Life Coach as a personal interest for building personal success.
Roger has served on the Distributor Council for Rheem Manufacturing Company and on the Board of Directors for the HVAC Association in Columbia, SC as well as the Richland School District One Technology Center Advisory Council. He has been featured personally and professionally in The Contractor, an HVAC industry magazine.
Roger is very active in Riverland Hills Baptist Church in Columbia, SC where he and his wife teach an Adult Bible Fellowship class for Parents of Teenagers. He has served as the Men’s Ministry Director at Riverland Hills, as a leader for the Men’s Ministry Department of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, and as Coordinator for World Changers through the Lexington Baptist Association. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Fishers of Men National Bass Fishing Tournaments. Roger has also conducted professional HVAC trainings for Rheem Manufacturing Company and Honeywell, Incorporated, and for the HVAC Contractors of South Carolina.
Roger has been married to his wife Kitty for 41 years. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Christy Todd who is the Children’s Minister at Riverland Hills Baptist Church, and Brook Spires who is in training to become an ultrasound sonographer. They are the proud grandparents of Maggie--11, Banks—9, and Molly—almost 5, and the blessed parents-in-law to Rusty, Christy’s husband.
Terry Isget had two years training in high school in HVAC . He started working at Noland Co of Florence out of high school in 1973. He worked in the warehouse,counter,outside sales, and branch manager positions with Noland until April 2008,selling the Ruud brand of A/C . He then started with Dealers Supply in May of 2008, starting up a new location in Florence selling the Ruud brand in the same territory of South Carolina and lower southeastern section of NC. He is now with McCalls Supply and is hopeful that his position won’t change anymore.
